We've been FEATURED: SNAP Oshawa - Momstown Launch Party

momstown Whitby-Ajax and momstown Oshawa-Port Perry collectively teamed up to celebrate our grand opening launches in the Centre Court of Oshawa Centre back in September.

We invited out SNAP Oshawa to cover the event, and we recently found out that we were featured in their November issue. Here's a short blurb of what SNAP Oshawa had to say:

Thanks again to everyone who came out, and helped in making the event the true success that it truly was! We enjoyed meeting each and every one of you!

Launch Party Success!

On Wednesday, momstown Whitby-Ajax and momstown Oshawa-Port Perry celebrated their launches together in the centre court of Oshawa Centre! And - what better way to do it, then by having a huge party!!

We had a massive turn out. We had set out an area for stroller parking, but it quickly became full and people had to start parking their strollers in the hallway. Nothing was stopping the parents and kids from coming in, and joining in on the fun!

Nancy (mama of momstown Oshawa-Port Perry) and I (mama of momstown Whitby-Ajax) came very quickly to realize that the momstown movement was being felt and accepted in the Durham Region.

We set up lots of different little activity stations for the kids. The tables contained arts & crafts; we taped a massive piece of paper to the floor for the kids to color all over. That was a huge hit!! Most ran straight into the activity station, ripped off their shoes and went to town coloring. The activity centers also offered a reading station, bead maze station and blocks/puzzles station. There was something for everyone!

Belly Button the Clown joined us in celebration of our launch, and brought lots of smiles to the children. She offered face painting and blew up balloon creatures for the youngsters.

Keri-Ellen Walcer from MusiGo put on a performance that got the kids all moving and dancing!



All in all, we had an amazing day! It was so great to have had the opportunity to meet and connect with so many families!

Where is this exciting event taking place? Oshawa Centre's Centre Court!!!





Make sure you get down to Oshawa Centre on Wednesday, September 29th, 2010 from 9:30am - 12:00pm. There will be a ton of exciting momstown activities and crafts for the children and a special momstown MusiGo presentation with Keri-Ellen Walcer! Keri-Ellen is a children's fitness consultant and the founder of MusiGo! She has been getting children everywhere active and enjoying music through her live performances, "Roll Play" Treehouse TV series, and community programmes!



As exciting as that is, that's not all!! momstown is also bringing you Bellybutton the Clown! Bellybutton the Clown will be making us laugh and painting all of the smiling little faces!!! Bellybutton the Clown has been making the world a funnier, happier, and more wonder-filled place for many years and does all kinds of parties, everything you can think of, just check out her site!




There will also be contests and giveaways at the event! Something you just have to see is the lovely cakepop bouquet that will be up for display and contest! Check out Bobbi's Cake Lollipop Shoppe for a glimpse of some of these extremely delicious treats!

momstown Whitby-Ajax and momstown Oshawa-Port Perry are extremely happy to be bringing all of this excitement to you at our Launch Party! Although, really it's just the very beginning! Each chapter plans over 25 events/month and offers many opportunities for moms to connect with other moms in their neighbourhood for conversation, support and a whole lot of fun!!!
