St. Paddy's Day Party!

Today momstown Whitby-Ajax Moms and Tots gathered at Nicole's house for a fun green-themed playgroup. The tots were all a little too young for crafts, so we just gathered in the family room and let the babies play...

or in some cases... sleep.

The Moms got to enjoy a nice potluck lunch, and some good Mommy chat!! Now I just need to figure out what to do with all the leftovers....

Perhaps, I'll munch on them later this evening while I enjoy a green beer. No reason why we can't continue to celebrate the occasion... He, he!

Everyone had such a great time today! We can't wait to all get together again soon!

Bellies and Beyond!

I'm excited to announce that the momstown Whitby-Ajax family is growing!

I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant with my second child, and the wee one is set to make an appearance in early-February 2011.

How will this affect momstown Whitby-Ajax? In the grand scheme of things, it won't. It will just open up the opportunity for even more events - not only geared towards Moms with children between 0 and 6, but also geared towards Moms-to-be (e.g. Bellies and Beyond Nights Out, Coffee Meet-Ups, Walks). The Bellies and Beyond events will be geared towards getting expectant Mom's out of the house while meeting and socializing with other expectant mommy's.

Keep posted to the blog for further updates, as we gear up towards launch of the momstown Whitby-Ajax chapter!!

momstown Training

Last week, Nancy (Owner of momstown Oshawa-Port Perry) and I spent two days at "momstown Head Office" for an in-depth training workshop.

On the first day of training, Ann-Marie (co-founder of momstown), Nancy and I meet up for dinner at The Keg with Leanne (momstown Guelph), Christy (momstown Business Development) and Lindsay (momstown Hamilton). It was great to meet some of the momstown team, and receive their feedback as I gear up for launch of the Whitby-Ajax chapter.

On the second day of training, we took the training outdoors. It was such a beautiful day!

Overall, training went very well. I had a lot of fun, and came away from it with a lot of information. I have a lot of great ideas that I'm very excited to put into motion! I've got a lot of work to do between now and launch... I can't wait to share this journey with everyone!

Keep posted here for further updates regarding momstown Whitby-Ajax!

Cheers,

Nicole
